Morocco confirms body of Abu Dhabi sheikh found

RABAT (Reuters) - The body of a member of the Abu Dhabi ruling family who ran the emirate's sovereign wealth fund has been found, a Moroccan government official said Tuesday.

"This unhappy news is confirmed," the official told Reuters, without providing further details.

Moroccan state news agency MAP then reported that the body of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Zayed al-Nahayan was pulled from the waters of a reservoir near the Moroccan capital Rabat where his aircraft crashed Friday.

Families of 153 trapped Chinese miners fight for hope

XIANGNING, China (Reuters) - Over 1,000 rescuers fought against the clock at a Chinese coal mine where 153 workers were trapped by flooding in what could be one of the worst disasters to hit the deadly industry in recent years.

China has the world's deadliest coal-mining industry, with more than 2,600 people killed in mine floods, explosions, collapses and other accidents in 2009 alone.

SEDGEFIELD, England (Reuters) - Tony Blair entered Britain's close-fought election campaign on Tuesday, seeking to work his charm on voters tempted to desert the ruling Labour Party after 13 years.

The former prime minister led Labour to three electoral victories over the Conservatives from 1997. But after a decade as prime minister, he resigned in mid-term in 2007 to make way for Gordon Brown.

Google: Mobile services partially blocked in China

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Google Inc said its mobile services have been partially blocked in China for two days, about a week after the company shut its mainland Chinese portal and rerouted Web searches to a Hong Kong site.

On a website showing the accessibility of Google's services in China, the company listed mobile as "partially blocked" on Sunday and Monday. Prior to Sunday, there were no issues with mobile services in China, according to the site -- http://www.google.com/prc/report.html#hl=en.

Turk government sends reform package to parliament

ANKARA (Reuters) - Turkish President Abdullah Gul warned his own supporters in government to be careful on Tuesday as they sent to parliament a bitterly disputed constitutional reform package that strikes at the heart of the secular elite.

The proposals to overhaul the judiciary, make the military accountable to civilian courts and make it harder to outlaw political parties challenged the country's nationalist establishment.
